Our Trip To Twin Lakes

Over the summer us and my parents went in together and bought a camp trailer from one of Shawn's co-workers. Its in pretty nice condition considering its 38 yrs. old. The outside color is a little ghetto, but hey, it has a shower and a working bathroom. We were the first to test it out and it was awesome to get away. We were excited to head to Twin Lakes, which is just outside of Preston, Id. I had never been there, and it had been almost 10 years since Shawn was there last. It took us awhile to find it cause they don't post signs of where to go. After we finally found it we set up camp.





It was so funny, cause Shawn put a 2 gallon water container on our fire paper, and on the way down, the water leaked all over the paper, so we had to let in air out before we could have you fire. What a silly boy!

So after we got all settled in Shawn couldn't wait to get his fishing pole out. I was a little bummed, cause I didn't have a fishing lisence, so I just got to sit back and watch.



So, after about an hour of bad fishing, the water was really low, we decided to start the fire so we could cook dinner.



As we were waiting for the coles in the fire to get just right for our foil dinners, we were hit by a really bad rain storm, killed our fire, it was so bad that we had to wait in the camper for about 20 minutes, but when I opened the door and saw this, I couldn't complain!



The next day, Ryan, Shawn's brother came down and spent the day fishing with Shawn, and again they didn't catch much. Shawn was the only that caught something, but they were just little fish, not worth keeping.





We can't wait to go again, and hopefully next time have a group with us!

All Good Things Must Come To An End

Well, last night was my teams last softball game. Unless you count the tournament, but who knows if we are going to play in it. Sadly, we lost, but we finished the season in 4th place. Which I don't think is bad considering that we were in the A League. I have the best team, all we care about is having a good time, and well, winning is nice every once in awhile, its just great to be with a group of people that won't get mad at you if you screw up a play or two. I hope that the team stays together from awhile. I don't want to play on any other team! I just wish that the season was a little longer, but its kinda nice to have a break. I have been playing sports non-stop since the first of March. Vacation time here I come!!!

Scout Camp

So last night I went to Camp Little Lemih with Shawn. The Order of The Arrow were doing their "Call Out" ceremony, and Shawn wanted to help out. Going to boys camp is ALWAYS an adventure for me, I'm the only girl that isn't someone's mom or someone that works there. I always get funny looks from the boys. Its probably cause I'm so HOT!! just kidding. So Shawn got all dressed up, which takes about 30 minutes and we headed down to the bonfire. He was going to drum, but he was a little late and someone took his spot. I love it when he drums. I'm so happy that he wants me to go with me whenever he does stuff for the O.A. Its fun to spend time him and nice to get away and see all the friends we NEVER see otherwise. I can't wait to see what other adventures come our way!

15. Who kissed who first? He kissed me first, when we were star gazing. smooth move hu?

16. Who asked who out? Neither of us- We were set up on a blind date by Misty. She's a good matchmaker!

17. Who proposed? Shawn did- On Mother's Day, he thought that would be a good gift for his mom.

18. Who is more sensitive? Me all the way.

19. Who has more siblings? Ha Ha, Have you seen my family? I do by far!

20. What were you doing 10 years ago? Living my own little life and he was starting his Senior year in High School.

Jess: I'm a TOTAL germ freak! I HATE touching money. I'm a very picky eater, it has to do with the textures of food. I'm the only left handed person on both sides of my family besides my Grandpa. and I'm so tickelish its not even funny


Shawn: Hes is very handy, hes not afraid to try anything once. HATES rollercosters! Loves Taco Bell, he would eat there everyday if I would let him. He loves to give me a hard time. Has lots of friends in all sorts of groups. And is GREAT with kids.

A New Closet Door!

I don't know how many people have been to my house, but when we bought it, it didn't have closet doors in the Master bedroom. We thought that was a little weird, but not a big deal. So after a year of living without closet doors we dicided that we were going to install them because our cats would sometimes pee in our clothes baskets. So when we were all ready to dive into a weekend project, we measured the opening and it was only 41 3/4inches, the stanard opening for closets are 48 inches, explains why there wasn't doors when we bought it. So after running out of ideas on what to do, we just bouth a 36 inch door for now, and put it in. I don't really like the way it looks, but hopefully we will think of something else.

Fourth Of July!

So, on the fourth of July, Shawn had to work. But whats new, he works all the time. So my sister was kind enough to let me tag a-long with her family and her in-laws. We went to the Parade, which wsn't good at all, we waited 45 minutes for it to get started and it only lasted 20 minutes. and I was kicking myself cause I forgot my camera. So after that, we all went home and decided to take a nap and get ready for the fireworks that night. We all met at Bridgett's house and headed up to the fairgrounds from there. We had such a great time, I was just bummed that I didn't get to spend one of my favorite holidays with Shawn. Hopefully next year!
