Spider Traps Catch More Than Spiders!

So last night when Shawn got home from work I went and opended the garage door so he could pull the bike in. When the door was going up, I noticed something in the corner of my eye, but didn't think anything about it. That is, until Shawn started staring at it!! IT WAS A SNAKE!!! we couldn't believe it. At first we both thought that we were playing a joke on eachother, I thought that he put a fake snake on the spider trap and visa versa. Well, to our surprise it somehow made it's way into the garage and got stuck on the trap! As it fell from the door I SCREAMED!!! snakes don't scare me, I just didn't think that it was going to fall.

We thought for a little bit about what to do, and we thought that the best thing to do was to kill it. If we tried to pull it off the trap we would have ripped it in half, it was already stretched pretty far. So, sad as it was Shawn severed its head with a snow shovel. I didn't want it to die slow.

And YES, Shawn is still making fun of me for screaming!

Another Survey

1. Where did you meet your husband? At My cousin Misty's apartment. She set us up on a blind, When I saw him I thought that he was pretty cute and we should have a petty good time.

2. What is the first thing you said to your husband? Probably Hey! When I meet new people, I just kinda sit back and get to know their personalities, so I know I won't offend them.

3. Where was your first date? Wow, we met at my cousin's apartment, I think that we went to dinner, Went to the SUB and played some pool, went to Ross Park and played night Softball, rented a movie, went to Blackfoot to get my car, and than we went up Satterfield to look at the stars.

4. Where was your first kiss? Up Satterfield, while looking at the stars.

5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement? It felt long to me. We dated 2 years, were engaged 5 months, and have been married almost 2 years.

6. Where did you get engaged? At Shawn's house on 14th. It was Mother's Day and we were waiting around to go see our mom's, and me being the crazy person that I am, I put the cats on leashes and take them for walks. Well, I was getting ready to go oustide and Shawn had put the ring on Willis' collar. Shawn said that Willis wanted me to be his mom, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

7. Where did you get married? Pocatello, Id, what a stoy that is!

8. How did your reception go? It was eventful, to say the least

9. THE HONEYMOON....We went to Las Vegas, it was so nice to get-a-way and relax. We had such a blast, but it was nice to come home and start our lives together, even though he left for 2 1/2 months the next week.

Family Picnic and a Chuckars Game

Well over the weekend, my mom's side of the family had our annual family picnic with her two sisters and all their kids. It's so nice to get together and see everyone that we only see about twice year. There was good food and the kids all had alot of fun playing together. I was very bummed that I totally forgot my camera, oh well, maybe next year!
Later that night, it was Blackfoot night at the Idaho Falls Chuckars, and Shawn had gotten free tickets, so we went. The game was so good, The Chuckars had a few bad calls (Like the other team hit a home run that went over the foul side of the pole, and the umps gave it to them). But the Chuckars rallied in the bottom of the 8th and came back and won it 8-6. I wish that I had a job had all I had to do was watch Baseball or Softball. I would do even if I didn't get paid. Its my favorite past time.

Our Trip To Twin Lakes

Over the summer us and my parents went in together and bought a camp trailer from one of Shawn's co-workers. Its in pretty nice condition considering its 38 yrs. old. The outside color is a little ghetto, but hey, it has a shower and a working bathroom. We were the first to test it out and it was awesome to get away. We were excited to head to Twin Lakes, which is just outside of Preston, Id. I had never been there, and it had been almost 10 years since Shawn was there last. It took us awhile to find it cause they don't post signs of where to go. After we finally found it we set up camp.

It was so funny, cause Shawn put a 2 gallon water container on our fire paper, and on the way down, the water leaked all over the paper, so we had to let in air out before we could have you fire. What a silly boy!

So after we got all settled in Shawn couldn't wait to get his fishing pole out. I was a little bummed, cause I didn't have a fishing lisence, so I just got to sit back and watch.

So, after about an hour of bad fishing, the water was really low, we decided to start the fire so we could cook dinner.

As we were waiting for the coles in the fire to get just right for our foil dinners, we were hit by a really bad rain storm, killed our fire, it was so bad that we had to wait in the camper for about 20 minutes, but when I opened the door and saw this, I couldn't complain!

The next day, Ryan, Shawn's brother came down and spent the day fishing with Shawn, and again they didn't catch much. Shawn was the only that caught something, but they were just little fish, not worth keeping.

We can't wait to go again, and hopefully next time have a group with us!
