Memorial Day Weekend

Well this past Memorial Day Weekend, I was looking forward to having a very relaxing 3 day weekend with Shawn. Things didn't really go the way that we planned. I was very stressed from work ( my parents went back eat for the week, and the office was so busy). And than, Shawn got called into work Saturday night. So after he slept most of Sunday, we went to dinner at his parent's house. When we got home Shawn had this brillant idea to work on our backyard because we werre getting sod in a couple days. so we worked on it for alittle. Monday Shawn wanted the wall finshed cause we were getting the grass the next day, so we spent ALL DAY monday woking on the re-taining wall, I'm so happy that we are finshed with that dumb wall. we added it up and it weighs in at 12,550 pounds! and its 4ft tall by 80 ft long. I dont think that sucker is going anywhere.

So the next morning I went to work and Shawn starting layin the sod. I wish that he would have waited for me because it is a very hard job! When I got home he was about a third of the way done. So I took the afternoon off of work and started helping. Alittle later, Ryan, Shawn's brother came to help. I can't believe how much he help, we were dead tired and he gave us so much energy! I'm so happy thats its finally done! we have waited almost a year for this project to be finshed. I can't wait to enjoy it. we are going to have some pretty sweet BBQ's this summer!!! OH YEAH!!!!

What an AWESOME weekend!

Well over the past weekend, Shawn and I were invited to our friends son's blessing. It was in Idaho Falls, They had him sealed in the Temple, and held the blessing in the church next to the Temple. I love going to the Temple, there is so much peace and calmness around it. I can't wait until the day that we can go through. I'm very thankful that our friends let us be part of Baxton's special day!

And then, for the rest of the weekend Shawn took me out to the shooting range in Blackfoot. We had such a good time, I love shooting our guns. Its nice to know that if anyone tried to break in, I would know how to use them. We were having so much fun, that we totally forgot to put on sunblock. Needless to say, my arms and the back of my legs are redder than a beet! You gotta love summer while it lasts right! after all, this is Idaho and it could be snowing tomorrow!

Softball and Snow

Well, this past weekend I had a softaball game. the every first one of the season. I was so pumped to play until I got to the field. By the time that I walked in the gates, it was snowing! We couldn't believe it, it was so cold that when you were talking you could see your own breath! I was very nervous that my team was in the A League, but after a few innings I knew thats where we are suppose to be. When everything was said and done my team won 19-3. I felt so bad for the other team, cause I know how bad it sucks to lose like that. Now I just can't wait until our next game!!!

My Heart Goes Out

This past week my husband's Police Department was hit with a tragic situation. Not going into to much details, an Officer was forced to take a man's life to protect his own. My heart goes out to the families of all who were involved. I can't even imagine what the Officer and his family are going through. I know how hard it must have been, but if he would have waited any longer, he could have been the one that lost his life. I never hope that Shawn is faced with that same situation. I pray everyday that Shawn is kept safe, and that he will return to me when his shift is over. But thats the risk we have to live with him being a police officer. I pray for everyone that was involved.

What a weekend

Its so nice now that Shawn doesn't work weekends anymore. This past weekend he put on a program for the Pocatello Charter School for the 3nd/4th grades. Needless to say, his group was the hit of the school. Shawn had a great time! He is so good with kids, hes going to be a great dad someday. Than, saturday he cam home in the AM from work and slept most of the afternoon. The City of Pocatello was having a Rabies and Micro chipping for pets so I took Cooper up and got him all ready to be outside. He was the hit of the whole thing, everyone was talking about how huge he is! Mind you, he is a 17 pound long hair orange tabby! He did a very job I was very proud of him! I also went up to Shelly with my sister to get some duck food, for her feathered little friends. On the way back we stoped in Blackfoot and ate at Rupes! it doesn't get any better than that!!!! Later in the evening, we called up some friends and went bowling, and for the life of me, I had no idea why my arm was killing me. So I thought really hard and finally realized that it was from carring Cooper all over the place! my arm still hurts today! After we were done bowling we decided that we wanted to have a bon fire and burn about 3 years of old bills, so we went up Scout Mountain. We weren't ever there 15 minutes and we got busted by the Forrest Service. They came over to check out what was going on, they realized that we were just some boring people with nothing really exciting going on, mind you it was Highland and Poky's Prom, so I think that they wanted to bust some people for under age drinking. After we talked to them for about 10-15 mintues they seemed like they wanted to stay and hang out by the fire. It was a good time, and I'm so excited that Summer is almost here!!!!
