Weekend with the Boy Scouts!
This past weekend I was able to spend at Scout Camp. We stayed at Island Park's Camp Friday-Saturday evening. Then we headed up to Camp Little Lemhi on Sunday after church. It was alot of driving, but EVERYTHING is so GREEN that it was a beautiful road trip.
Shawn is in charge of the Order of the Arrow call outs this year at Camp Lemhi, so we spent all weekend getting ready for that. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Shawn is an awesome scouter, and will make sure that everything will go off without any problems.
A few things that I have learned over the weekend:
-Don't collect all the scouts cell phones in a garbage bag. Or you will spend most of the next afternoon dumpster diving. (yes, the phones were found, in the bag, full of garbage. GROSS!!!!)
-Be prepared for any kind of weather. We has wind, rain, sun. But MOSTLY RAIN!
-Just roll with the punches, because nothing EVER happens the way its suppose to.
-Enjoy the little things in life, cause if you don't they will pass you by.
I'm SO EXCITED that Shawn has asked me to tag along and help him out this summer! So on any given Thursday night, if you are up at Camp Lemhi, we may see each other!
I will keep everyone posted on how everything goes.

My first Church Calling
Last night the 2nd counslor in our bishopric (spl) came over and asked if Shawn & I would like to be co-adult sunday school teachers. I was excited! for my first calling I couldn't have asked for a better calling. I love that I will be working with Shawn.
It was pretty funny, earlier in the day, they released our sunday school teacher, but didn't call anyone else. I thought it was a little wierd. So I leaned over and told Shawn that he was going to be the new teacher. He didn't think that was funny. I guess I'm more intune with the sporit than I thought I was.
I will let you know how we do, Sunday is our first class! Wish us luck!!

Spring sports are for the birds!
I have decided that spring sports are for the birds. This year is one of the worst springs ever that I have played soccer. We have either played in the rain, wind, or even some days BOTH! I won't lie, I lOVE playing, just not freezing! Soccer is going good so far. We have played 4 out of our 8 games, and have only won 1. I don't care much on winning or losing, I just want to have fun. My team is pretty awesome and we all get along pretty good, so that's always a plus!
Softball starts next week. I'm so excited to play! by far, softball is my favorite sport to play. I don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of it. I love the team that I play on, and can't wait to get started!
As for Shawn, he is just pluggin' away at finals! I think that we are both going to be excited and relieved when he is done. I keep telling myself, one more year, one more year. I can't believe how fast his schooling has gone by.
That's abour all that's going on in our lives right now! We just wish that summer would decide to show up SOON!

March Update
Nothing really exciting happened with us over the past month. Hence the reason there are no posts.
Shawn~ is still plugging along in school. Then end is not that far in sight now, so we are both very happy about that. He was also promoted to Corporal, so that's pretty exciting. I LOVE it because he will have better work schedule, so we will see each other a lot more.
Jess~ sad to say that I haven't done anything on my birthday list. These days I just don't have any motivation to do anything. By the time I leave work and are done dealing with the stresses of everyday life, I'm ready for bed. I start soccer today. I don't know why I get myself into this every year....OH YEAH I LOVE the shape I get into after the season. Every year I play sports for 6 months, I get into the best shape doing it, and my goal this year is to hit the gym when I'm with sports in the fall.
Like I said, Nothing really new here......I will post about how the first game goes. Let's just pray there is a lot of subs!

I married a Genius
Back in December Shawn was nominated for a research paper contest. The top prise for the graduate level paper was $1,500.00! Come to find out, HE WON!!!! To both our surprise, the committee called him to congratulate him on his paper, and tell him that it was ONE OF THE BEST PAPERS they have EVER read!
I'm so PROUD of him. and of course, he won't brag about it, so I will on here. It's nice to see that all his HARD WORK is really paying off. I'm so happy that his Professor sees something in him, and it's just not me. The Professor told Him that the paper would be a GREAT start to a Thesis if he decides to do one.
I tried talking him into taking me on a cruise with his winnings, but he had an other idea....So thank you to Indiana State University, for making him a very happy guy!

26 years ago today.......
I graced this Earth with my presence and it was NEVER been the same. I have been in denial that I'm turning 26. I still feel that I'm 22, but I guess you are as young as you feel.
Here are a few goals that I'm setting for this year:
TO BECOME A BABY FACTORY: For my birthday, I decided that I'm going to stop taking birth control. If Shawn doesn't want kids yet, its up to him to prevent it. I figured that I have been on it for almost 4 years, its his turn to deal with it.
GO TO THE GYM MORE: Now that I have been released from Doctors, I need to start going to the Gym 3-4 times a week. I haven't been to the Gym in a LONG TIME, so this is going to be a hard habit to get into.
START EATING BETTER: I have slowly, but surely started eating better. I have cut back on the snacks big time. I'm having a hard time on this one, but I know it will get easier over time.
STOP BEING LAZY AROUND THE HOUSE: I feel so sorry for whoever enters my home on any given day. By the time that I get home, I just want to sit and relax for a little bit, but that usually ends up being all night. Hopefully I will get better, sooner than later :)
I could go on and on, but I will sparrow you. So far I've had an AWESOME BIRTHDAY, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for me :)
